TASK SHEET NO.1


The five terms and concepts that you need to know and understand about ICT is Technology, Information and Communication Technology and Literacy or ICT Literacy, Educational Technology, Digital Literacy and Digital Learning. These terms are use because it is related to ICT, like the first term that I’ve mentioned which is Technology – it refers to a mix of process and product used in the application of knowledge. It includes tools from pencil and paper to the latest electronic gadgets and tools for practical task, so basically if we don’t have technology yet then ICT wouldn’t function. Next is the Information and Communication Technology and Literacy or ICT Literacy which is the use of digital technology, communication tools and/or networks to access, manage, integrate, evaluate, create and communicate information in order to function in a knowledge society. Third is the Educational Technology which refers to the use of technology in and learning. Educational technology includes both the non-digital (like the flip charts pictures, models etc.). and digital (electronic tools: hardware, software and connections, etc.). Next is the Digital Literacy which is the ability to find, evaluate, utilize, share and create contents using information technologies and internet. And lastly is the Digital learning which is any type of learning that is accompanied by technology or by instructional practice that makes effective use of technology . It encompasses the application of a wide spectrum of practices which included blended or virtual learning. It can came as online or off-line which utilizes digital technology.
These terms and concepts can be helpful in my profession because we are now in the 21st century where anything can be done through the internet and especially right now we’re amidst of pandemic it is very useful and I never know when this will end so its very helpful for my profession because I can apply what ive learned from this subject to my future profession. As a future educator, I can be able to easily teach and share my knowledge with my students, it wont be that hard for me to adapt this “new normal” if this will still last, because I’ve already got to know these terms and concepts from this subject. These can be also helpful to 21st century learners because learners from this 21st century are already exposed with this kind of learning and the good thing about this is they can enhance there skills with regards to this as a part of their learning process and it will not be hard for them to adapt this because they’ve already knowledge about this. It will help the 21st century learners to acquire more information, they will not left behind, and use it for their future.
All in all these can be utilized in teaching and learning process like for example; before the focus is the teacher and the only role of student is passive and where they only use chalk and teacher will do the talk to discuss the lesson, but when the model shift from traditional to information – the focus of this already shift from teacher to student and the role of learner is active and they already using personal computers. So that only means that with ICT, changes happen, which improves the teaching and learning process or environment.

11-15. The importance of ICT in teaching practices is can be use as teacher’s model in teaching, they can use variety of online tools that can make their teaching more interesting and fun. In teaching practices, technology can be integrate into the classroom, not only students will enjoy while learning but also students can discover different online tools from their class/teacher.

Technology influenced one’s life as a learners, learners use device for new information we’ve to search. I remember back then when i was in grade school, in my family any of us don’t have phone yet, all that we can use and we have is just library in school with simple books and full of intelligence educators are sufficient for us. I’m not really mindful about having any online device, however while my grade level gradually rising, I needed to have phone and I expected to look for my tasks, projects, and so on in the internet for my studies. Technology is exceptionally valuable for us as a students.

Technology influened teachers, from making it easier for teachers to create instructional materials to enabling new ways for students to learn and work together. Though there are teachers who are not really into technology that’s why they are still adjusting, but it’s an advantage for those who knows how to use it well because it will be accessible and hassle free for them because they can do their stuffs in technology.

MODULE 2 Elaborate and Evaluation

INTRODUCTION
Technology has become part of most people’s life in this 21st century. Like the internet – allows people to collaborate on content creation and distribution. As we all know that even us – regular citizens can reach big audiences and can communicate with other people, and thanks to the Internet. It also allows anyone to be a content provider and/or transmitter from anywhere in this world. As a result, this aspect of the Internet allows for greater democratization of the right to free expression.

BODY
I have read one of the cases from the article TWO PRECONDITIONS OF THE RIGHT TO FREEDOM OF EXPRESSION ON THE INTERNET (Birce Altın, 2020), which is the case of Ahmet Yidirim. In this case, the freedom of expression and the use of the Internet was debated. The defendant, who was a university student, had a website where he discussed his academic studies and opinions. Unfortunately, his access to the site was blocked after the account of the same hosting provider insulted Atatrk. The applicant stated that he was blocked from accessing to the Google Sites due to the decision of the Denizli Criminal Judgeship of Peace. The Court noted that the State has a responsibility to ensure the security of the Internet. The Internet is a vital tool for people to exercise their freedom of expression and information. If they cannot access it, they will not be able to exercise other rights, such as freedom of communication and education. I, myself are fully aware with one’s right of accessing the internet, but it made me surprised also learned from this article that internet is one of the necessary conditions to exercise one’s right to freedom of expression. In addition to that, we cannot limit nor restrict someone from using the internet because it his/her rights to do so.

CONCLUSION
Therefore, I conclude that this article help me to personally become more aware of the proper use of internet. And by that, it also makes me learned my rights of accessing the internet as part of exercising my freedom of expression.

The new ICT Technologies are:
• Information Technology, which is the process of transferring data and making it available to the public. The use of computers has become indispensable in today’s world.
• The second one is the Telecommunications Technologies that includes the broadcasting of radio and TV. This is done through the use of satellites and telephone systems.
• And the last one is the Networking Technologies, which includes the use of various forms of communication such as internet. Although it is the main area of networking technology, various forms of communications such as mobile phone technology and satellite communications are still in their early stages.

Critical thinking, creativity, communication and collaboration are the 21st century skills. These skills can help people collaborate in their projects, because first, when you are a critical thinker means that you know how to address challenges or problems in your projects or endeavors. You know the importance of verifying assertions before accepting them. You have the ability to distinguish between facts and opinions which can really be helpful in your projects. Secondly, when you are creative you are thinking beyond the box, you are able to examine a subject from various angles. In addition to that, when you know how to communicate in the most clear and orderly way possible, you will be able to communicate effectively and clearly in a variety of modalities, including face-to-face, technologically mediated, or a hybrid medium. Lastly, when it comes on collaboration you already know how to work successfully with others to complete a task or solve an issue, then there you will be a collaborative. And obviously, you are expected to work in groups or pairs in the twenty-first century but it won’t be hard for you to do so because you already have these skills. And when you possess all these skills, it will be easier for you to collaborate in your projects.

ESSAY Unit 6

Internet or mobile devices, we usually use it to communicate with our family and friends though we are far from them. But as time goes by people become more interested and curious about it, as technology keeps on improving and high tech or also called modern technology. Now, that we are still facing this pandemic, social media become more relevant as most of us use it as alternative for the face to face class, though we are in our home we can still meet each other virtually with the help of these, but it doesn’t end just like that. In using social media and internet there is a social networking site where you can create a profile. Interacting with others in order to exchange knowledge and make business or social connections. A personal account can be created on a variety of platforms. Especially for a student like myself, we may easily set out to make full use of online media in our education, keeping in touch with classmates while working on projects together. Educators can also use it to provide data to students outside of class time and to facilitate discussion. For example, before the session begins, form a group to assist students get to know one another. When working on group projects, students can use group chats to communicate with one another. They can also send papers to one another via the chat sections of several social media platforms. Before class, teachers can exchange documents and other learning resources with their pupils so that everyone can access the information from their phone or mobile device. Students can form discussion groups to talk about what they learned in class on their own time. So, these are just a few examples of how it can be useful and helpful at the same time for both teachers and students, and any of us can come up with many more. As I have observed, social networking site can really be a valuable learning tool when used correctly.
